This doll is a Honey Ballerina. She had had most of her facial features removed with nail polish remover, and bright pink plastic showed through around her eyes. She looked like she had a chemical burn!!. Also the eyelids were bare white plastic, no paint on them at all. Her wig had a large bald spot on the front left side. When she arrived her hair was in a pony tail, and had dark black eyebrow penciled eyeshadow and brows. Normally, I wouldn't offer to paint a doll, but this poor dolls face. However, this dolls face was so badly damaged both her owner and I agreed that anything would be an improvement.

I won this doll on ebay. She was listed as being in played with condition and needing a good bath. When I received her hair was gray from what looked like soot, and her pallor was ashy to say the least. After she was bathed and underwent the conditioning wraps and packs at the Doll Spa her hair was restored to its original Golden Blonde color and her skin glowed!! She looked as good as when when she was knew.!!

When this little brunette arrived at the Doll Spa we found that she had a previous repair that showed around her hairline and her wig was thin. In fact it appeared to have 1/2 of it gone, but evenly all over. After she completed her spa treatments we evaluated what could be done to conceal the repair on her head and make her hair look fuller. As you can see we were successful in transforming a doll who had been played with long and hard (and showed it), into one who looks as good as she did the day Ideal made her, complete with a full head of gorgeous brunette curls!! She is now ready for another 50 years of play!!
